No two individuals are alike, each person with their own strengths and needs that makes them unique. At Reframe, we pride ourselves on tailoring our treatments, interventions, and therapy to the specific person and family. Through a comprehensive assessment, we are able to identify strengths and needs and tailor a therapy plan to improve the individual person’s functioning. We set specific goals, and continuously assess throughout treatment how the person is moving towards their goals.

Family-Centered Care

We fully understand that what affects your child affects you and the whole family. Research also shows that the most effective treatments, including CBT, involves parents. At Reframe Psychology Clinic, we involve parents in all aspects, from assessment to treatment. We are interested in listening to you as you share with us your observations of your child’s functioning and how they are progressing in therapy. We take your concerns and feedback seriously and want to work with you as a team to help your child.

Evidence-Based Treatments

Trained as scientist-practitioners, we continuously keep ourselves on top of new research in terms of assessment and treatment of psychological difficulties in youth and adults. We can critically assess what research shows to be effective in terms of assessment and treatment and we incorporate this knowledge in our clinical practice. Using research support, we are able to tell you how we can effectively help reduce symptoms and improve functioning. We do this by using evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). We also know that when there are multiple specialists involved in a person’s care, the person does better when there is open communication between those involved. We are happy to work with others involved to ensure progress.
